  • Low Back Pain Treatment Review

  • If you suffer from severe low back pain and have had no relief from shots, medications and other treatment modalities, then you may be a candidate for Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression.  This medical breakthrough has provided relief for countless people where other treatments have failed. Spinal Decompression was developed for the treatment of low back pain or sciatica caused by problems in the lumbar discs. In the past, a person with disc problems were usually given pain medication, referred for physical therapy, and if they weren't improving, they were sent for spinal surgery. Now there is another option in spinal decompression that has been proven effective in relieving the pain associated with bulging and herniated discs, degenerative disc disease, sciatica, spinal stenosis, or even relapse after a failed back surgery.

    What Is Spinal Decompression?

Spinal Decompression at South Valley Spinal Care is done on the FDA approved DRX9000, which is designed to relieve pressure on the anatomical structures that cause lower back pain. The advanced computer system allows us to target the specific discs that are causing your pain and symptoms. Using a logarithmic curve we can avoid creating muscle spasms while allowing for separation of the vertebra, which reduces compression on the discs and nerves. Treatments are painless - patients often describe it as a gentle intermittent stretching of your back.

How Do You Find Out If You Are A Candidate?

The DRX9000 has been successful with even the most severe cases... even when NOTHING else has worked. Some patients even experience relief after one to two treatments. Best of all, this isn't something you have to continue to do for the rest of your life!

Find out if Spinal Decompression can help you by scheduling a FREE, No Obligation consultation with Dr. Finsand at South Valley Spinal Care. If you have previous imaging (X-rays & MRI's) we can use that during the consultation, if not, we can look into setting up imaging for you to determine the best treatment for you. • Herniated Discs

    Herniated Disc

A herniated disc occurs when the soft center of a spinal disc pushes through the exterior casing. In most cases, this will irritate the nearby nerves and can result in pain, numbness or weakness in the arm or leg. If you suffer from a herniated disc, you may have been told that medication, physical therapy or even surgery are your only options.

Dr. Humble Finsand at South Valley Spinal Care can offer a different solution in non-surgical Spinal Decompression, which lengthens and decompresses the spine to create a negative pressure within the disc. When applied to herniated disc, this negative pressure creates a vacuum that enables us to pull extruded disc material and other nutrients back into place and relieve pressure off of pinched nerves that are causing pain.

Spinal Decompression means there is now hope for a long lasting treatment of herniated discs without drugs, injections, or surgery. Treatment programs can range in length but sometimes patients can feel pain relief immediately.

  • Sciatic Nerve Pain

Sciatic Nerve Pain, or Sciatica is a persistent pain felt along the sciatic nerve, which runs from the low back, across the buttock and into the lower leg. Although it is a relatively common form of low back and leg pain, it is actually a symptom rather than a diagnosis of what is irritating the nerve root and causing the pain. Sciatica can develop as a result to general wear and tear as well as injury to the lumbar spine.

Patients who suffer from sciatica experience pain that radiates along the sciatic nerve pathway, moving from the low back down through the leg and is generally only felt on one side of the body. It can be felt as a mild tingling, aching, burning, pins and needles sensations, or numbness and muscles weakness in the affected leg or foot.

Because sciatica is a symptom, treatment is based on the cause, most commonly a disc condition that is treated successfully with Spinal Decompression Therapy. When targeted on the discs that are pressing into the nerve roots, relief can often be felt within 1 treatment.

  • Chronic Low Back Pain

    chronic low back pain

Although bugling or herniated discs are the most common cause of low back pain, there are many other conditions that can contribute to chronic low back pain.

    • Disc degeneration is caused by the drying out of the disc area. Over time, or through injury, dried discs will crack and induce pressure on nerves resulting in extreme muscle tension and back pain.
    • Spondylolisthesis is another degenerative spine condition that is characterized by the displacement of one vertebra over another in which slippage can occure in any direction. Because of the pressure put on our lumbar spine, this is most commonly found in the low back.
    • Spinal Stenosis is the narrowing of the spinal canal that houses the spinal cord and nerve roots of the spine.

Any of these degenerative spinal conditions can cause persistant and debilitating low back pain. Spinal Decompression has been found to help pull nutrients and water back into dehydrated and degenerated discs.

  • Spinal Decompression Success Stories

Dr. Finsand has been doing Spinal Decompression in the Salt Lake Valley for over a decade, and has helped thousands of people get rid of their back pain and improve their quality of life. In there own words, here are a few Spinal Decompression Reviews.

  • I had a herniated disc and was in constant pain. I tried physical therapy, chiropractic care and acupuncture for a year with no positive results. I saw Dr. Finsand’s ad for spinal decompression and made an appointment to see him with skepticism. However, after every week of treatment on the DRX 9000, I noticed less back pain. I finished my treatment and now live, work and play virtually pain free (it gets better all the time!) Dr Finsand taught me ways to continually strengthen my back. Treatment on the DRX9000 and the care I recieved has improved the quality of my life! Thank you, Dr. Finsand!

  • I have lived with back pain for several years not wanting to have surgery on it. When I heard about this procedure, I was about ready to try anything to relieve the pain. So when I decided to try it my pain was unbearable. It took about 3 weeks on the machine. I was amazed at the results I was getting. It was painless on the machine. I was completely cured by the end of the procedure. Meaning I had no pain left at all. I would recommend this to anyone that needs relief. The people at the office were very kind and gentle. Thank you Dr. Finsand and staff for a pain free back so I can get on with the things I love to do.

  • I started to have a lot of pain and it got to the point that I could not walk or stand. This time the doctor told me I had six bulging discs and nothing could be done. I was put on pain meds and told the eventual outcome would be to fuse the spine. I went to see Dr. Finsand and he introduced me to the DRX9000. After just one treatment I walked around the block with my husband, something I would never have tried prior to that treatment. I finished my treatments and have not had any sciatic pain since that day and continue to be active, take walks, and do all the things I would normally do. Thanks to Dr. Finsand and the DRX9000.
